Uncle Tony please read.
Uncle Tony, its not a refund. You just subtract it from your income.
See below.
Have your centers news, correct and update.
Love ya, See you on Sunday.
✅ What you heard about is real
There is a new tax break for people age 65+:
Up to $6,000 deduction (single)
Up to $12,000 if married (both 65+)
❗ But this is the key:
It’s a tax deduction — NOT a direct payment.
That means:
It lowers your taxable income
It can increase your refund, but doesn’t mean you get $6,000 cash
👉 Example:
If you qualify, your income is reduced by $6,000
That might give you a few hundred to ~$1,300 more back, depending on income
