Nailed it
A tiny apartment balcony proved to be an ineffective hiding spot for a group of residential burglary suspects.
Detectives from the Burbank Police and the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department recently executed a search warrant at a 7th-floor apartment unit near downtown Los Angeles in connection with a June 2025 burglary. They didn’t immediately find anyone inside, but the suspect hadn’t gone far.
“Detectives quickly realized that the four suspects had fled out of the rear 7th-story balcony and tightroped across a narrow ledge to a neighboring apartment balcony,” police posted on social media.
Officers searched the apartment and found a sizeable haul of allegedly stolen goods, including jewelry, handbags, watches, shoes, cash, and foreign currency. They also found a substance known as “pink cocaine” inside a blender and hundreds of empty baggies, police said.
“Pink cocaine” is a synthetic psychedelic drug that is typically sold in a pink powder form.
Police said the crew has been linked to five residential burglaries in Burbank, Monterey Park and Chino Hills.
