19 and meet first ghost. Part I

Just married at 19 years of age. a baby and living in the San Fernando Valley. We had survived a six car pile up and an office fire all in the same month. Now with car settlement, maybe time to look for a less unlucky place. We flew to Mexico City to meet my wife's family. Never realized how big and sprawling the city was as we flew over the it. Wow, it makes NYC look tiny. Some of the folks I met in Mexico City always said they have a witch in family. Always wondered is it a Samatha kind of witch from TV show "bewitched", or some weird looking witch from Wizard of Oz, the one that melted? This lady was my wife's aunt and lived across the street from my wife's grandmother. The "witch" was maybe 4' 4" in her late 50's and a hairdresser at the local mall. I fell in love with her immediately. So adorable and scrappy too. After three months of visiting Aunt Josifina, she asked us to stay with her after dinner. We were always together inseparable, as most couples in love and recently married.

After dinner, she asked the routine questions. I knew many probes would be launched at the newest member of this family. She asked me what seemed odd. If I heard voices or saw things?. I laughed, am almost 20 told Tia Josefina. Just another young guy that's all no craziness in my family. After dinner, she offers us cups of Mexican chocolate. We drink the delicious steamy brew, as I tell of Los Angeles. Wife adds when she can in my verbal rant, and sweetly issues an apology for me, saying he won't stop talking when set off. Funny thing after this night and the life altering event that will infect my soul. I'll never speak again more than a few words. My nickname in the process of serving offices in the courthouse is the "quiet guy".

to be continued

Right on Melrose sharp street art all over.
